Castanyada (Part I)

As I told you, last weekend I was ready to enjoy my hometown holidays and what we here call "Castanyada", and that's exactly what I did! I had a couple of dinners with different groups of friends (typical in my city during that holiday weekend) and on Sunday we reunited at a friend's country house to have our own "Castanyada". It's called like this basically because you brown and eat "castanyes", chestnuts, in my language.
So, after few hours of sleeping due to we had partied the night before, we all were ready to spend a lovely day together.
I took so many pics so I'll split the post in two parts, the second will come soon!

Let me start with the beautiful house.

And the beautiful owner, N. Do you remember her from that Sant Miquel trekking?

Oh! Is dinner ready???

Yes, it is!

Magic words! In a few seconds everyone around the table. We were about 15 and though the best option was to keep it simple: bread with tomato and olive oil (as good catalans) with different types of cheese and lunch meats followed by a pasta salad.

What a lovely fireplace! It's definitely one of my favorite winter pleasures.

Apparently everyone shares that! We sat on the comfy couches, sang beautiful guitar songs and slowly fell asleep with the warm of music and fire.

Hey! Some very awake beauties here, ready to sing!:)

And you'll say...what about chestnuts? I don't see a single chestnut here!
I know. The chestnut's stuff, in the next post.

Have a lovely weekend :)

(Big adventures this weekend! I'll tell you soon!)
